New Year 2005 at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

For New Year's, Cindy and Al joined family and friends at the Punta Cana Resort and Club in the Dominican Republic.

The first night was spent at an apartment at the Marina, due to a mix-up on reservations! The next day we discovered our own private pool - very relaxing. Al even talked the groundskeepers (who spoke no English) into cutting some coconuts off the tree so we could try drinking fresh coconut milk.

The next day instead of lying
around the pool,
we went to the beach,
and enjoyed!

New Year's Eve 2004:
The world's longest dinner
(you don't want to know!)
followed by listening to a salsa band
and watching the fireworks
on the beach at midnight.

My camera battery went dead and
of course I didn't bring a charger...
so Fred was kind enough to lend me his camera
to take a few last photos of the resort.
